PopOut&Share is a social travel app designed to help you capture fleeting travel moments, connect with fellow travelers, plan trips, and share memories that fade over time — creating meaningful moments without the permanence of traditional social media.

+ How do I create an account?

Tap the login screen and select "Sign Up." Enter your email, create a secure password, and complete your profile with your display name and location. You'll be ready to explore in seconds!

+ Can I use PopOut&Share offline?

Some parts of PopOut&Share are designed to work offline after they have been loaded on your device. Offline access depends on the feature and your stored data, and syncing resumes when you reconnect.

Fading Memories

+ What are Fading Memories?

Fading Memories are photos, videos, or stories that automatically expire after a set time (24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, or never). They're inspired by stories but designed to capture ephemeral travel moments — creating a sense of urgency and authenticity.

+ How do I create a Fading Memory?

Tap the blue "+" button to create. Select "Memory" and choose your fade duration. Add a photo/video, write a caption, tag your location, and set privacy (public, buddies only, or private). Tap "Share" and watch moments fade!

+ Can I save a memory before it fades?

Yes! View any memory and tap the save icon to archive it permanently to your Journal. Once saved, it won't fade. You can always view your archive in the Memories section.

Trip Planner

+ How do I create a trip?

Go to Planner, tap "New Trip," and add the basics such as destination, dates, budget, and notes. Some planning tools are available now, and some collaboration features are still being expanded.

+ Can I invite others to plan with me?

Yes. Open your trip, go to the Buddies tab, and add trusted travelers to the trip so they can join the shared plan. Collaborators can be added from the trip detail experience, and trip planning stays tied to that shared trip record.

+ How does the AI Assistant help?

The AI Assistant suggests activities, creates packing lists, checks weather, translates phrases, and recommends restaurants based on your destination. Open the Assistant tab and ask anything about your trip!

Travel Buddies

+ How do I add a Travel Buddy?

Go to Buddies, tap "Add Buddy," search by username or email, and send a request. Once they accept, you become buddies — you'll see each other's public profiles, share fading memories, and chat privately.

+ What's the difference between Buddies and Followers?

Buddies are two-way connections — you both follow each other and can message privately. Followers are anyone who chose to see your public content. Make your profile public to gain followers!

+ Can I see my buddies' locations in real-time?

Location sharing depends on the feature you use and the permissions you grant. Do not assume continuous real-time sharing unless you have explicitly enabled a location-based feature for that purpose.

Marketplace

+ What can I buy/sell on Marketplace?

The Marketplace is for travel-related items: rental gear, travel guides, handmade souvenirs, travel services, tours, and experiences. Sign up as a seller to list your travel items or experiences!

+ Is the Marketplace safe?

Use care when buying, selling, or booking through marketplace features. Payment and transaction behavior can vary by workflow and provider, so do not assume every transaction includes escrow or guaranteed buyer protection unless that flow clearly says so.

+ How do I list an item?

Tap "Marketplace" → "Become a Seller" → "List Item." Add photos, title, description, price, and condition. Your listing goes live immediately and is visible to travelers worldwide!
