Trust & Safety
This page explains how PopOut&Share approaches user safety, messaging privacy, content reporting, and support. It is intended to describe the app honestly as it exists today.
Private messaging
PopOut&Share supports two private chat modes: standard chats and encrypted chats. Users should rely on the in-app chat mode indicator when encryption status matters.
Reporting and moderation
The app includes reporting and moderation pathways for content, users, and safety concerns. Reports may be reviewed to help protect the community and investigate abuse.
Support channels
Users can submit support tickets in the Help page, continue a ticket conversation in-app, or contact support by email.
How to stay safer on the platform
- Review profiles carefully before meeting someone offline
- Use public places for first-time meetups or exchanges
- Do not share passwords, one-time codes, or sensitive financial details in chat
- Use in-app reporting if a user, listing, post, or message feels unsafe or abusive
- Contact local emergency services first in urgent real-world emergencies
Payments and transactions
Transaction features exist in the app, but users should still exercise judgment. Do not assume every transaction type includes escrow, insurance, or guaranteed refund handling unless that specific workflow clearly states it.
Chat privacy modes
- Standard chat: intended for users who want a normal private chat path that better supports safety review, abuse investigations, and lawful requests when required
- Encrypted chat: intended for users who want message contents hidden from PopOut&Share systems so only participants should be able to read them
- Choose the mode that fits the privacy and safety needs of the conversation
